Our client, the UK's and Ireland's leading supplier of kitchen doors and components are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on the night shift.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimum production efficiency and safety.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Per Annum (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 6pm 4:30am, Friday 3:30pm 9:15pm (some flexibility)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on machinery and production equipment.

· Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.

· Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

· Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.

· Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

· Assist with electrical installations and project work as required.

· Collaborate with the day shift engineering team to ensure smooth handovers and consistent engineering practices.

· Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work using the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).

· Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety legislation and company policies.

Job Criteria:

· Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

· 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.

· Proven experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

· Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

· Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.

Desirable:

· Dual-skilled or experience with mechanical maintenance tasks.

· Experience working night shifts.

· Familiarity with health & safety regulations in an industrial setting (e.g., PUWER, LOLER).
