Industrial Temps is delighted to support Royal Mail in the recruitment of Delivery Driver / Loaders to join their team, based in the Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading vans at our Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus depots, ensuring all items are handled efficiently and safely.
Working Hours: - Night shift - Tuesday - Saturday 10pm - 6am
Pay rate: £19.43 Per Hour
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary Ongoing
Job Duties:
- Safely load and unload parcels, mail, and packages from vehicles and sorting areas.
- Ensure all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Organise and stack goods efficiently within the van to optimise space and maintain load stability.
- Verify items against delivery or collection documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all Royal Mail operational procedures and safety standards
Job Criteria:
- Valid professional driver’s license
- At least 1 years experience in a similar role
- At least 1 years driving experience
- Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move parcels of varying weights throughout the shift.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently and accurately under time pressures
- Reliability and strong work ethic with excellent punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Additional Information:
This Delivery Driver / Loader position is between two sites - Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland.
