Our client is a long-established, family-run business based in Northern Ireland, specialising in the manufacture of high-quality bakery mixes, confectionery ingredients, and related food products.
As a Warehouse Operative you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. You will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage and dispatch of bakery ingredients, ensuring accuracy, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Pay Rate: £29,000
Hours per week: 42.5hrs per week with 30 minutes unpaid break
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday: 4pm Start job and finished

Job Criteria:
Essentials
•Valid FLT licence (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach) – RTITB or equivalent
•Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
•Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
•Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
•Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
•Physically fit and able to lift and move stock as required
Desirable
•Awareness of HACCP, allergen handling, or food hygiene practices
•Previous experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector
•Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners
Job Duties:
•Operate Forklift Trucks (counterbalance/reach) and other MHE safely and in line with company policies.
•Accurately pick stock for production and dispatch orders according to instructions and order sheets.
•Put stock away into appropriate storage locations using barcode scanners or manual records.
•Carry out stock counts and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
•Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety within the warehouse.
•Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, checking goods in/out.
•Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and accuracy.
•Follow all company procedures including food safety, allergen control, and hygiene standards.
