Our client is seeking a Key Operative/Quality Controller to join their team based in Crossmaglen.
Pay Rate: £15.36 Per Hour
Hours Per Week: 48
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7am – 7pm

Job Duties:
As Key Operative, Quality Control, you are responsible for maintaining and enforcing food safety and quality standards across the production floor during your shift.
You will act as the primary point of responsibility for quality control activities, ensuring products meet internal specifications, customer requirements and regulatory standards. This role involves monitoring production processes, verifying compliance with food safety systems, and ensuring quality checks are completed accurately and consistently. This role is also responsible for ensuring all production staff on shift are aware of and abide by quality standards.
You will work closely with production, technical and hygiene teams to ensure that quality standards are maintained at all stages of manufacturing and that any issues are identified, escalated and resolved promptly
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Quality and Food Safety Ownership
· Take ownership of quality and food safety standards across the production floor during the shift.
· Ensure all production activities comply with site quality procedures, food safety standards and customer specifications.
· Monitor adherence to HACCP controls, CCP checks and quality procedures.
· Escalate quality or food safety concerns immediately and support investigation and corrective actions.
· Production Quality Monitoring
· Conduct regular quality checks across production lines to verify product standards are being met.
· Verify that finished products meet approved specifications and customer requirements.
· Support production teams in maintaining consistent product quality and addressing issues that may affect standards.
· Raw Material and Process Control
· Assess incoming raw materials and ingredients to ensure they meet required quality standards.
· Collect and prepare samples for testing and laboratory analysis where required.
· Monitor production processes to ensure quality and compliance requirements are maintained.
· Reporting and Documentation
· Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports and traceability documentation.
· Ensure all quality and food safety documentation is completed correctly and in line with site procedures.
· Support monitoring of relevant quality KPIs, including product compliance, waste and process deviations.
· Team Support and Standards
· Support and guide production teams in maintaining food safety and quality standards.
· Assist in training new employees and agency workers on relevant quality and hygiene procedures.
· Lead by example in maintaining good housekeeping and hygiene standards across the production floor.
· Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
· Work closely with Operations, Technical and Hygiene teams to address quality issues and maintain standards.
· Identify opportunities to improve quality processes, reduce waste and strengthen compliance.
· Support investigations into quality deviations and assist with corrective actions.
