Our Client, Nugent & Gibney Ltd, are seeking a Joiner to join their growing team on a Permanent basis, based in Armagh.
Nugent & Gibney LTD is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke contract furniture, specializing in furniture for the hospitality, licensed, and catering sectors with over 40 years of experience. Incorporated in 1976, the company provides custom-made furniture solutions globally, focusing on high-quality design, craftsmanship, and personalized service.
Pay Rate: Starting at £15 Per Hour - Depending on Experience
Hours Per Week: 38 Hours
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 2pm
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Job Duties:
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke furniture to specification
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production plans
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials with precision
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards before dispatch
- Work collaboratively with workshop team members to meet production deadlines
- Carry out repairs or adjustments where required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Assist with loading and preparation of finished products if required
Job Criteria:
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience working as a Joiner or Bench Joiner
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Experience using woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Relevant trade qualification in Joinery or Carpentry
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finish
- Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with good timekeeping
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in bespoke or contract furniture manufacturing
- Experience working within a fast-paced production environment
- Knowledge of different wood types, laminates and finishing techniques
