We are seeking a Hygiene Manager for our client based in Newry.
The Head of Hygiene is responsible for the hygiene standards across all three Newry sites. Manages people, processes and systems, in order to ensure hygiene standards are maintained to a high level and that relevant regulatory standards are met.
Salary: £45,000 Per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm (must be flexible to work weekends when needed)
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Job Duties:
- Creation and review of all Standard Operating Procedures for hygiene teams
- People management
- Design and delivery of departmental training
- Liaising with other departments to identify needs, and troubleshoot
- Workforce planning
- Ensuring that hygiene standards and schedules are adhered to
- Administering stock control for hygiene consumables
- Coaching and mentoring members of the hygiene team
- Carry out audits and inspections of hygiene activities across multiple sites
- Maintaining all paper and computer based records, in line with company and regulatory requirements
Job Criteria:
- Good Communication Skills in English (interpersonal, listening, written and oral) and a working knowledge of English
- Experience of leading a team
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills
- Experience of Food Hygiene and importance of good Health and Safety practice and procedures
- Be trustworthy and reliable
- Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software, e-mail and the internet
- The ability to work as part of team and make a positive contribution
- Ability to take accountability, make decisions and work on own initiative without supervision
- A flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business and the role
- A friendly, positive, enthusiastic and professional character
