Join the EVRi Team as a Depot Parcel Reconciliation Operative - Mallusk, Newtownabbey!
Our client, EVRi, one of the UK’s leading parcel delivery services, is currently seeking Depot PRO Operatives to join their brand-new depot in Newtownabbey, this September.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced logistics environment, helping to ensure that parcels with missing or damaged labels are accurately processed and returned to customers or clients.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that any misplaced packages with missing or damaged labels are repaired and re-issued with the correct label to be delivered back to customers or clients. You will report into the Shift Supervisor and ensure all KPI targets in your specific area are met consistently.
Pay Rate: £12.43 - £13.31 Per Hour + Holiday Pay
Working Hours: 5/6 days per week, start/finish times may vary depending on the need of the business.
Twilight: Start times between 10am - 3pm to finish
Nights: 9pm to finish
Job Type: Full Time, Ongoing
Job Duties:
· Supporting your Supervisor by working with the shift and ensuring that any misplaced packages with missing or damaged labels are sent on to their owner or back to our clients as required.
· Repacking parcels only with damaged packaging, to forward onto our couriers for delivery.
· Using your initiative to make sure that parcels are tracked and returned swiftly by working with various parts of our network including our Hubs, Delivery Units, Couriers and Clients.
· Using hand-held devices (HHT's) to scan parcels following the correct Standard Operating Procedure and achieving compliance KPIs to the specific warehouse area.
· The regular use of pump trucks to move collars, pallets, and other assets.
· Sorting parcels into smaller locations and postcodes ready for the final mile delivery operation.
· Personal and warehouse hygiene.
· Adhering to all company policies and procedures in your area and for behaving in line with the Evri values.
Job Criteria:
• Ability to speak English and communicate clearly.
• Basic Microsoft and Computer skills.
• Warehouse experience is desired but not essential.
• Desired knowledge when working with handheld devices and compliance targets.
• Experience in working in a physically demanding environment and experienced in manual handling heavy items.
• Must be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
• Professional attitude and clear communicator
• Comply with company and Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Good time management.
