Nursing & Caring Direct, based in Lisburn are a leading care staff provider operating with all the trusts throughout Northern Ireland. They now require a Trainee Service Manager to join their team.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm (37.5 hrs per week including 1 hr break)

Job type: Full time, permanent (subject to 6-month probationary period)

Salary: Starter salary £23,500 pa (to be reviewed after 6 months)

Duties and Responsibilities:

o Assisting Service Managers in Liaising with clerical, medical & professional staff at all levels if & when required

o Assisting Service Managers in Co-ordinating and managing Health Care Assistants within their allocated work setting.

o Liaising with all stake holders associated with our clients in a confidential manner adhering to strict policy and procedures

o To assist with general office administration when required

o To participate in Care Worker reviews, appraisals and spot checks

o Maintain and update CRM systems accordingly

o Maintain Service User files and records located securely in the Nursing & Caring Office and in the Service User homes

o Adhere to regulatory requirements

o Any other duties that may be assigned

o Participate in the on-call rota

o Attending relevant training, seminars workshops as and when required

o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.

o Adhere to all Nursing & Caring Direct Policies and Procedures

o Knowledge of office procedures and practices.

o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.

Job Criteria:

o Possess a minimum NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care/Care Management is preferred but not essential

o Computer literate (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)

o Previous working knowledge of a Healthcare/Domiciliary software package is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

o Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi task and prioritise

o Have a full driving licence and access to car

o Have good communication skills and be an excellent team player

o Be self motivating using own initiative when necessary

o Have excellent English both written and spoken
