Nursing and Caring Direct are seeking a Senior Payroll Processor to join their team in Lisburn. The successful candidate will ensure that all payments and invoices are raised in an accurate, compliant and timely manner. They will also advise, mentor and support the payroll team.
Job type: Permanent (subject to 6 month probationary)
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (note we are open to applicants whose preference is Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm)
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)
Main Duties:
• Input of a weekly payroll process end to end for all agency workers
• Ensuring workers are paid accurately and invoices are raised on time
• Processing all payroll related electronic submissions RTI/Pension/Year End etc
• Be a mentor for new/current payroll employees on payroll function and systems
• Evaluate payroll related processes and controls to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and worker focus.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and annual, reports as and when required by the Company whilst seeking improvements to the data provided.
• Act as point of contact for all stakeholders / workers / clients
• Supporting the payroll team by guiding them on the handling of PAYE, NICS or any other queries
• To keep the Group Finance Manager and Registered Manager updated of all payroll related changes in legislation e.g. Inland Revenue, National Minimum Wage etc
General Duties
• To assist with ad-hoc projects, campaigns and assignments as required.
• To develop and demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of the payroll process.
• To adhere to company policies, systems, procedures and codes of practice to which the company subscribes.
• To make recommendations to the Group Finance Manager and Registered Manager concerning potential improvements to company procedures and standards.
• To undergo training/retraining as required
Essential Criteria
• Previous extensive working knowledge of the full end to end payroll process
• Previous working knowledge of a payroll /CRM software
• Ability to mentor/train current team in payroll processes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills & attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative & to tight deadlines
• Excellent IT Skills Outlook, Word, Excel and Databases
• Fully Flexible
Desirable Criteria
• Previous working knowledge or exposure to Health Care Sector/Trust payroll
• Educated to 3rd level education
• Possesses a payroll related qualification
