We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assistant on behalf of our client, Cranswick, based in Cullybackey.
We require a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of a QA Assistant to monitor and verify all food safety, legality and quality procedures as outlined within the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management System whilst also ensuring health and safety.
We may consider applications from those that do not hold a QA qualification as we would look to train them up.
Pay rate: Depending on experience.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, exact hours of work to be confirmed.
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Job Duties:
•Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and pre-requisite requirements
•Accurately complete all required paperwork
•Verify production check sheets
•Butchery checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications
•Internal auditing
•Investigate non-conformances
•Verify completed investigation of non-conformances and customer complaints
•Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
•Assess goods at intake to ensure they meet specification
•Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits.
•Any other duties within the competency of the job as directed by management
Job Criteria
•Experience in QA/QC or GMP environment - Desirable
•Understanding of HACCP and BRC quality management systems
•Understanding of red meat sector
•A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
•Strong attention to details and organisation skills
