Our client based in Ballymena is seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers to join their successful and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established business that provides essential milk collection and delivery services within the dairy industry.
As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for collecting milk from local dairy farms along scheduled routes and delivering to end customers or processing facilities, while maintaining a high standard of service and product integrity
Job Type: Full Time, Ongoing
Pay Rate: £16.56 per hour
Hours of Work: 5 on, 3 off (including weekends
Shift Time: 7:30am – 6:30pm
Pay: Weekly pay with overtime paid after 48.12 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Collect milk from dairy farms according to a set route plan.
- Deliver milk to processing facilities and/or customers.
- Complete all necessary paperwork with accuracy.
- Conduct vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Be willing to undertake secondary haulage of milk to various locations.
Essential Criteria:
-Full, clean UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early starts and weekends.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under your own initiative.
- Flexible, adaptable, and reliable with a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Able to make swift and logical decisions when required.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar HGV driving role.
- Experience in milk collection or similar logistics work
