Our Client, Hughes Group, is seeking a Frozen Controller to join theri expanding team, based in Dungannon.
Hughes Group is a dynamic innovator in the mushroom sector of the agri-food industry, working with a network of growers to deliver top grade mushrooms, vegan and vegetarian product lines and superlative service to our customers and business partners across the UK and Ireland
The Frozen Controller will carry on all reasonable duties when picking and despatching, and to support all intake and freezer holding duties.
Pay Rate: £12.95 Per Hour
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours
Working Hours: Working 5 days out of 7
Monday to Sunday 8am – 5pm
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Job Criteria:
- Background in cold storage or warehouse control, ideally in food.
- Familiar with stock rotation, inventory management systems, and temperature monitoring
- Knowledge of food safety standards for frozen goods and safe working practises in low temperature environments
- Accurate record keeping, stock counts, and reporting discrepancies
- Capable of working in cold conditions, with proper PPE and adherence to safety protocols
Job Duties:
- Ensure H&S issues are raised regarding the chosen area of work
- Ensure that all fridges are running at the correct temperature to maintain product integrity
- Ensure the stocks have correct traceability for any audits refuse if not available
- Scan all stocks to the lorry No. and present an accurate stock to production daily
- Ensure that pallets produced as frozen are loaded into the lorry correctly
- WIP Product should be shrouded
- Pallet Wrap around each pallet
- Liaise with the Despatch team in a timely fashion for any frozen outloads and ensure they are ready for despatch
- Keep work area clean and tidy
- Shunt on any lorries as required to fulfil customer orders
- Report any lorry faults
- Monitor temps of all freezer units
- Create load plans for all lorries going offsite
- Complete daily stock take scans querying any discrepancies
- Train suitable team to cover 7 day working
MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
- Give a plan for what is needed by production for the day
- Organise acceptable storage for Frozen product
