We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our client, Mash Direct.

Working as part of the maintenance team you will follow maintenance plans as well as getting involved in installation projects, electrical fault finding and emergency breakdown repairs to ensure plant operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Pay Rate: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Job Duties:

- Diagnose and repair faults on plant control systems. Investigate the nature of plant failures and subsequently carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid loss of plant production.

- Carry out instrumentation, control and automation maintenance on a variety of production site equipment including planned maintenance and reactive maintenance.

- Install, modify and commission new plant equipment to high standards.

- Ensure, as part of the maintenance team, that a safe, clean and tidy working environment is maintained

- Provide specialist technical advice where appropriate

- Comply with current workshop and site risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work

- Produce ‘Point of Work Risk Assessments’ whenever necessary to ensure all potential hazards involved with specific tasks are identified and reduced/removed

- Ensure that where required, all compliance documentation regarding the company Quality Management System

Job Criteria:

Essential:

- Electrical City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Qualification

- Proven experience with:

- Operational plant and control systems

- Interpreting Electrical Drawings, fault finding from schematic drawings and working with inverter drives

- Relay Logic and PLCs

- Calibration and maintenance of front-line instrumentation

- Meeting health & safety requirements

- Work with a flexible and lateral thinking approach to problem solving

- Have a willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised

- Be a good communicator

- Have good time management

- Have a can-do attitude

- Be Physically fit to perform the role – able to operate electrical equipment, lift, climb, stand and work at height or confined spaces without any problem

Desirable:

- Skilled in utilising lean tools and techniques and developing a continuous improvement culture

- Counterbalance Forklift License
