Industrial Temps are currently recruiting a Transport Supervisor on behalf of Evri. This role is key to supporting the Transport and Shift Managers in executing the transport operational plan and ensuring the smooth running of the site.
As the main point of contact during night operations, you will lead the team to deliver high performance across the transport function. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and conducting effective driver briefings and debriefings.
Pay Rate: Up to £36,000 Per Annum
Working Hours:
Nightshift start time: 9pm until TBC.

Job Criteria:
•Previous experience working in a Transport or Traffic Office environment.
•Proven supervisory experience with operational teams and Drivers.
•Knowledge of transport systems including telematics and tachograph analysis (e.g., Isotrak, Tachomaster).
•Computer literate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
•CPC National Certificate is desirable (or willingness to work towards it).
•IOSH certification is desirable.
•Experience in route optimisation, driver compliance and managing operational KPIs.
•Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
•Experience in conducting or supporting Drug and Alcohol testing is advantageous.
Job Duties:
•Briefing and debriefing drivers, ensuring clarity and compliance with route instructions.
•Allocating vehicles and ensuring suitability based on route requirements and restrictions.
•Managing driver rotas and holiday requests to maximise shift performance and coverage.
•Supporting the Transport Manager with shift planning and cost control (fuel, maintenance, VOR).
•Monitoring and maintaining compliance with legal and safety standards, including vehicle checks and incident reporting.
•Acting as the main point of contact for night driver queries and incidents (e.g., accidents, delays).
•Maintaining high operational standards through adherence to 5S and internal quality/safety protocols.
•Reviewing and reporting on transport performance metrics and supporting KPI achievement.
•Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, absence tracking, and employee development within the transport team.
•Ensuring all driver and vehicle data is accurate and up to date across internal systems.
