We are seeking a Canteen Assistant for our client, based in Maghaberry.
Pay Rate: £11.80 per hour
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am - 2.30pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Job Duties:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold meals for break and lunch time service.
- Simple cooking includes the reconstitution of prepared food.
- General kitchen and canteen room duties include washing up, clearing up equipment including tables and chairs.
- The cleaning of the kitchen, canteen room, countertops, tables, equipment and utensils and to ensure the kitchen is left in a clean and hygienic condition before the premises are vacated.
- Preparation of food and beverages for the meeting room for visitors to the site
- Assisting the quality team in day-to-day tasks as and when required.
Job Criteria:
Essential:
- The ability to stand for long periods and lift and carry heavy objects.
- Previous experience in a similar role
Desirable:
- Food handling certificate
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices
