We are looking for a dedicated and driven Buyer/Planner to join our client Terumo in Larne, Northern Ireland, to support our growing operations.
Salary: £28K - £34K per year depending on experience
Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
Job Type: initially 6 months
Main Tasks & Duties
• Execute the SIOP & demand plan to ensure materials supply to feed factory builds.
• Execute forecasts & PO’s to the supply base in a timely manner to ensure flexible production planning & supply to meet factory requirements.
• Utilize SAP to generate reports & extract data to manage forecasting, supply and planning of material to and from the factory.
• Ensure accurate pricing and supply data is maintained on SAP for purchases.
• Identify opportunities to achieve positive cost savings across the supply chain.
• Develop strong relationships with other internal functions including Quality, Logistics, Engineering, Production and Sales teams.
• Manage KPI data and measurement to relation to Supply Chain goals and objectives.
• Any other duties as may be reasonably required by your Manager from time to time
Essential Criteria & Skills
• 3rd-level qualification in Business, Management or suitably related discipline, or
• Minimum three years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in use of MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable Criteria & Skills
• Experience gained within a hi-volume manufacturing environment
• Chemistry / Medical device background
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience of SAP including reporting
• Strong data management & analytical skills
• Membership of CIPS

• Able to work additional hours as and when required
• Ability to travel to supplier locations when required
