Our client Genesis based in Magherafelt are currently recruiting for Weigh Room Operators to join their growing Bakery Production team. The purpose of this role is to accurately weigh and prepare ingredients in line with approved recipes and bakery systems, ensuring product quality, consistency, food safety, and traceability throughout the production process. Duties will include weighing ingredients, operating bakery weighing systems, completing production records, and maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. As part of the growing team, you will be contributing to a fast-paced food production environment focused on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Pay Rate: £13.05 to £14.05 plus £1 nightshift allowance.
Hours Per Week: 40
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6pm-finish.

Job Criteria:
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or bakery production desirable but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Ability to follow recipes, systems, and SOPs precisely
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
Job Duties:
• To accurately weigh dry, liquid, and minor ingredients in line with approved recipes and production schedules
• To operate weighing systems and related production equipment safely and efficiently
• To ensure ingredients are correctly labelled and prepared for production
• To complete weighing tasks in the correct sequence to avoid contamination and errors
• To maintain full traceability through accurate paperwork and system records
• To report shortages, discrepancies, or equipment faults to Supervisors
• To comply with Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, and allergen control procedures
• To maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within the weigh room area
• To work closely with Mixing, Bakery, and Production teams to support workflow
• To comply with all Health & Safety procedures including PPE requirements
• To participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
