Our client, Genesis Bakery based in Magherafelt are currently recruiting for Production Operators to join their growing Bakery Production team
The purpose of this role is to work as part of the bakery production team, ensuring products are produced to the highest quality and food safety standards while meeting daily production schedules
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of production processes, including accurately weighing ingredients, operating bakery equipment, monitoring baking processes, completing production records, and maintaining excellent hygiene standards. As part of the growing team, you will be contributing to a busy food production environment focused on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Pay Rate: £13.05 Plus £1.00 per hour night shift allowance
Hours Per Week: 40
Working Hours:
Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am/8am to finish
Evening shift /Night shift: Sunday - Thursday 9.30pm - finish or Monday - Thursday 12am-finish
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
Job Criteria:
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, bakery production, or production environments is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene standards
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and work instructions accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Flexible approach to working hours and duties
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Job Duties:
• Operate bakery production equipment safely and efficiently, including weighing systems, ovens, and associated machinery
• Accurately weigh and prepare ingredients in line with approved recipes and production schedules
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure consistent standards
• Load and unload products while maintaining production flow
• Complete production records accurately to maintain traceability and compliance
• Carry out routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, HACCP, GMP, and allergen control procedures
• Work closely with Bakery, Mixing, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflow
• Comply with all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required to support the business
