Our client is seeking a Machine Operative to join their growing team, based in Portadown.
Pay Rate: £14.39 per hour + shift premium
Hours Per Week: 32
Working Hours: Days and Nights Rotational Monday to Thursday
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
Job Criteria:
1. Machine Setup and Preparation:
· Prepare moulds and equipment for production according to specifications.
· Load raw materials, such as plastic resins and additives, into the moulds.
· Set up machine parameters, including temperature, rotation speed, and cycle time, based on production requirements.
2. Machine Operation:
· Operate rotational moulding machines to produce plastic products.
· Monitor machine operation to ensure that the moulding process runs smoothly and efficiently.
· Adjust machine settings as necessary to optimise production and maintain product quality.
· Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
3. Quality Control:
· Inspect finished products for defects, such as air bubbles, warping, or incomplete filling.
· Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
· Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent defects from recurring.
4. Cleaning and Maintenance:
· Clean moulds, equipment, and work areas regularly to prevent contamination and maintain hygiene standards.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks on rotational moulding machines, such as lubrication and calibration.
· Replace worn-out or damaged machine parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
5. Safety Compliance:
· Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, while operating machinery.
· Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor or safety officer
